This year’s Battle at the Barnyard, that Iron Siren hosted at Danelion Brewery, was one for the books. The sun was shining, the crowd was electric, and the smell of chalk, adrenaline, and good beer filled the air. Competitors from all over Idaho (and beyond!) came ready to test their grit in true Highland-inspired, barnyard-strong fashion — and wow, did they deliver.
From keg presses to loading locally sourced boulders to a farm truck bed, every event was a mix of brute strength and sheer determination. But what really made the day special was the community — the comraderie between lifts, the cheers from friends and families, and the way athletes rallied behind one another no matter the weight on the bar. The Iron Sirens and Steel Manatees Showed Up Big Our Iron Sirens and Steel Manatees didn’t just compete — they dominated. Several brought home trophies and podium finishes, showing exactly what happens when consistent training, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart come together. Whether it was a first-time competitor hitting a PR or a seasoned athlete grinding out every rep, each one made us proud to the core. More Than Medals Beyond the wins, what stood out most was the energy. So many athletes talked about how supported they felt, how inclusive and uplifting the environment was, and how this event captured what the strength community is all about — every body belongs here. That’s the Iron Siren spirit. Cheers to the Crew A massive shoutout to the volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and Danelion Brewery for making it all possible. You kept the lifts running smoothly, the music pumping, and the beers cold. And to our crowd — your enthusiasm fueled every lift and every smile. Until Next Time Battle at the Barnyard 2025 reminded us why we do what we do: because strength isn’t just measured in pounds — it’s measured in community, courage, and connection. Here’s to another incredible year of lifting each other up — literally and figuratively.
