Meet Shelly! This is why she prioritizes her health and fitness:
"I started working out to keep up with my 7 year old. I've continued to find motivation by focusing on getting strong and healthy. Strength and not the scale!" Meet Stacey! This is why she prioritizes her health and fitness:
"I do it for me. For the confidence that comes from being physically and mentally strong." We're thrilled to unveil our brand-new photo series, "What's Your Why?"
In a world where health and fitness mean something unique to each individual, we're embarking on a journey to capture the diverse and inspiring stories behind why people choose to prioritize their physical and mental well-being. We all have our reasons for lacing up those sneakers, hitting the gym, or stepping onto the yoga mat. Whether it's to set an example for our loved ones, overcome personal challenges, boost confidence, or simply embrace a healthier lifestyle, every "why" is as valid and significant as the next. Through this series, we're shining a spotlight on these powerful motivators that drive us to be the best versions of ourselves. How does it work? Over the coming weeks, we'll be featuring individuals from all walks of life, each sharing their 1-3 sentence insights into why they've chosen to make health and fitness a priority. Their stories will remind us that no matter our background, age, or goals, our paths to wellness are as diverse as we are. It's a celebration of individuality, determination, and the countless reasons that keep us moving forward. Join the movement! We invite you to be a part of this empowering project. Share your "why" with us, and let your words inspire others on their journey to a healthier lifestyle. By showcasing our stories, we're fostering a community of support and understanding that transcends societal norms and expectations. Together, we can redefine what it means to prioritize health and fitness. Stay tuned as we unveil the first batch of stories in the "What's Your Why?" photo series. Let's celebrate our "why's" and embrace the beauty of our diverse paths toward wellness. Remember, your "why" is yours alone, and it's what makes your journey truly extraordinary. The Battle of the Brawny Babes is BACK for the third year! This year's competition will be held at Mad Swede Brewing. It'll consist of a circus dumbbell press, a max frame deadlift, a shieldmaiden shield hold, a max atlas stone and a carry medley that includes a mystery implement! Come out to compete, or come out to cheer on the athletes. I look forward to seeing you there!
The Battle of the Barbarians was a success! Thanks to the amazing volunteers and athletes this competition ran without a hitch. The Uplift team brought home two first place, two second place and two third places! Barbarian Brewing was very generous with the use of their space. It was a amazing location with great beer and food. Strongman is such an amazing sport!
Strength for everybody means strength for EVERY body. I want to reiterate that Uplift Strength and Fitness believes that EVERY body deserves to feel strong and healthy. That includes transgender bodies. Uplift Strength and Fitness believes that all bodies are good bodies and people should have the freedom to be who they are. You are loved and deserving of respect regardless of your sexual orientation or gender identification. You can lift with us. <3
We had a great time at the Only the Strong Survive strongman competition in Fruitland, Idaho. The Uplift crew showed up and crushed their events! All four of us taking a podium spot. It is an honor to coach these athletes! They show up, work hard and make our community a fun and inviting place. So proud!
It is always a great time attending local events and watching clients compete! Deadsgiving was a deadlift competition put on by a local gym as a food drive for the Idaho Food Bank.
It may have been FREEZING but that didn't stop Justin from hitting a PR of 575#! |
