We had a great time at the Only the Strong Survive strongman competition in Fruitland, Idaho. The Uplift crew showed up and crushed their events! All four of us taking a podium spot. It is an honor to coach these athletes! They show up, work hard and make our community a fun and inviting place. So proud!
It is always a great time attending local events and watching clients compete! Deadsgiving was a deadlift competition put on by a local gym as a food drive for the Idaho Food Bank.
It may have been FREEZING but that didn't stop Justin from hitting a PR of 575#! Uplift Strength and Fitness will be running their first combined strongman/woman competition on March 11, 2023! Check out the details and sign up on Iron Podium: https://ironpodium.com/.../event/battle-of-the-barbarians-1
Follow the event on Facebook for updates, event videos and more! https://fb.me/e/3Hi8fIHzy Sarah and Siera competed in their very first Strongman competition! It was awesome seeing these best friends crush their events at The Sinister Games in Idaho Falls this weekend. The competition involved a deadlift series, Viking press, sandbag throw, last man standing stone loading, and a chain drag/husafel carry medley. They already have their eyes set on their next competition!
Nothing quite like getting a group of amazing people together and lifting heavy! Recently I've started up a Strongman Saturday where individuals of all fitness levels can try out Strongman and build community. Come join us! All are welcome.
Justin competed in his first strongman competition today! This event included a max log press, wagon wheel deadlift and yoke. He crushed it and earned himself 3rd place in a highly competitive class!
Kegan competed in Idaho's Strongest this past weekend and rocked it! She placed first in her class doing events such as the circus dumbbell, squat, deadlift, truck pull and atlas stone loading for reps. Thankful for athletic focused physical therapist, Luke at Achillis Fitness Institute for helping Kegan stay in tip-top shape.
Battle of the Brawny Babes 2022 is a wrap! This year, 13 amazing and strong women came to battle it out and it was an amazing show. This year, athletes ranged from teens to masters, brand new strongman athletes and well experienced athletes. It was incredible watching the strength and power each athlete brought to the competition. My vision in putting on the Battle of the Brawny Babes is to bring together women from all backgrounds and experience levels and create a community that is inspiring and empowering. Looking forward to 2023! |
